Buckles

There are a lot of options when it comes to types of seals and buckles for straps, each one meant for a different and specific use case. It would be impossible to cover them all, but below are some of the ones you will encounter most often.

Phosphate Coated Wire Buckle

Phosphate coated wire buckles are most commonly used in industrial environments and are used to secure poly cord straps. The phosphate coating will provide extra grip and high joint strength to secure large loads. These buckles are designed to be tough, reliable, and extremely easy to use. They are also able to withhold all weather conditions.

Galvanized Wire Buckle

Galvanized Wire Buckles are also for poly cord straps. These are steel buckles coated with zinc to prevent rust and corrosion. They’re typically used to secure things for packaging, recycling, waste management industries, and more.

Wire Buckles

Wire buckles are used for polypropylene straps. This is another common buckle, seen frequently to secure pallet for shipping. They are easy to thread with just five simple steps.

Plastic Buckle

Another buckle used for polypropylene straps. Plastic buckles are easy to use by forming a loop on each end of the strapping then pulling tightly. The strap is tightened by releasing the lever, while the length is adjusted by pulling down.

Seals

As for strapping seals, they also come in many different types that are worth knowing the differences of.

Thread-on Seal

Thread-on seals are designed to be pre-threaded over the ends of the strap before being tensioned. The joint is then finished by closing the seal. These are used most commonly on large and unwieldy loads like hay bales and bundles of various kinds.

Snap-on Seal

Snap-on seals are one of the most commonly used seals for securing loads. They can be applied either before or after the strap is tightened. They are placed over the overlapping ends of the straps and can be attached with electric or manual tools.

Serrated Seal

Serrated seals are made with tiny little teeth that grab onto the strap to create extra friction. This is important when you really don’t want the straps to move unless specifically interacted with.

Nestack Seal

Nestack metal seals have interlocking nibs that allow it to be held together in a stack. geared specifically towards industrial tools and are made to be easily inserted in the magazine of powered equipment for assembly line attachment by machines.
