Choosing galvanized wire over standard steel wire offers several performance benefits. For instance, the galvanizing process adds durability to the wire, so you can trust it to hold up even during long, difficult jobs. Galvanization also helps the wire to resist damage, which is important when using it to bale products that will be transported. At Vulcan Wire, we have a few different galvanized wire products for you to consider. Take a look at our selections below!
High Tensile Galvanized Steel Wire
The tensile strength of a wire refers to how much pulling force it can withstand before breaking. If you are using wire to secure heavy bales, there will be a lot of stress placed on those wires once they are tightened around the load. By using High-Tensile Galvanized Steel Wire, you can reduce the risk of a dangerous break.
We offer a variety of high-tensile galvanized steel wire within our collection:
-Super-high tensile is 145 grade and comes in 11 or 12G.
-Bale-tie wire is a medium tensile-80 grade.
-Ceiling wire is a soft tensile-65 grade.
-Hi-ten wire is 115 grade, but it is not very commonly used.
Choosing a thicker wire will bring more strength to the project, but will increase the weight of the wire as well as the price.
Single Loop Bale Ties
If you use a baler to package up items like cardboard, paper, and more, you may need to keep a supply of Single Loop Bale Ties on hand. These pieces of galvanized wire include a loop on one end and can be ordered in a variety of lengths, from 4 feet on the short end all the way up to 30 feet for large jobs. Also, you can pick from six different gauges when ordering your single loop bale ties, which include 11, 11.5, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
Straight Steel Wire
Straight Steel Wire that has been galvanized offers the strength and versatility to handle many types of projects. Three gauges of straight steel wire are available from Vulcan Wire (10, 11, and 12), so we can supply you with the perfect length based on the project you have planned. If you would like more information about the differences between straight and coiled wire so you can decide which is best for your needs, please contact us for assistance.
Acoustical Ceiling Wire
When installing an acoustical ceiling, which can also be called a drop ceiling, you’ll need the right wire for the job. Our straight Acoustical Ceiling Wire is 12-gauge and has been galvanized for durability and protection. There are six standard lengths available in our inventory ranging from four feet to twenty feet, but we also offer custom lengths anywhere from two feet to thirty feet. Each bundle includes 100 wires, and you can also order by the log, which will include 25 bundles in each log.
