Alice Combs, an Entrepreneur With a Vision
Alice Combs found herself in a position that so many American women can relate to–she was a single mother with barely enough money to put food on the table. Her work life wasn’t fairing much better. As was the case in the 70s (and for many other women to this day), she was met with stereotypical judgment that, as a woman, she simply wasn’t cut out for corporate.
Alice didn’t agree. In fact, she was determined to overcome anything to create a company that would not only change her life but improve the world. Alice faced incredible hardships throughout her career, including betrayal and ruthless competition. Her experiences and insights shed light on the resilience, creativity, and hard work needed to build an empire that survives several decades.
Behind the scenes of this growing enterprise, Alice grappled with financial insecurities, family pressures, and heartbreak. Yet she eventually found true love and built the balanced life she deserved.
